Skill Set Check Sheet

So you think you’re clever?  Well think again. When you complete that CV and send it off, you may well get an interview. The first thing we do is ask the applicant to rate themselves in terms of skillset and level of skill, using the sheet you are going to download.

Most people over-rate themselves. For example, they may say that they are “excellent” at graphic design, so we then pull up Behance or similar and ask them to compare what they have done with what is on Behance. They then usually re- rate themselves two rates lower. It’s a reality check which is good for the  applicant and good for the potential employer and gives a start to the interview. Enjoy .
